She was predeceased by: her parents, Pinckney Major and Obie Farmer Major; her husband Henry Ford; her children, Barbara Major Brunson, Betty Elaine Davis, Henry Ford Jr., Kay Cassandra Singleton and Patricia Major Vaughn; and her siblings-in-law, William Scott, Betty Thompson and Luella Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Major (Marie) of Sumter, Ervin Major of Sumter, Roosevelt Ford of Sumter, Johnquel Ford, Marilyn Hughes of Boston Massachusetts and Macey Kennedy (Frankie) of Sumter; her sister Ruby Mae Scott; and her grandchildren, Melissa Richardson (Roosevelt), Latasha Wells (Theodore), Troy Major, Frankie J. Kennedy, Chivona Hughes, Damika Hughes and Tyrone Hughes. She is also survived by other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
