We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2025, at the age of 85, Richard Niel McKenzie (Sumter, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George McKenzie and Ruby Ernestine Scott McKenzie. He is survived by: his siblings, George W. McKenzie (Sharon) of Ohio, Elizabeth Reiners (Robert) of Connecticut, Jim McKenzie (Winnie) of New York, Judy Van Inwegen of Florida, Tom McKenzie (Joanne) of Missouri, Nancy Grund of New York, Joan Gregory of New York and Nina Sullivan (Rocco Conklin) of Pennsylvania; his daughters, Debbie Elmore (Rick) of Sumter, Colleen Motley (Rhett) of Sumter and Missy Sawyer (Rick) of Dalzell; and his granddaughters, Catie Pipkin (Caleb) and Claire Holland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
