It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Pinckney Jr. (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Rembert, South Carolina, who passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Butler Pinckney; and his siblings, Joseph Pinckney, Willie Thomas Pinckney and Mary Pinckney Grayson. He is survived by: his father Richard Pinckney, Sr.; his sisters, Janie Pinckney Fulton (Eugene) of Randallstown and Deloris Pinckney James of Baltimore, Maryland; and his sister-in-law Cornelia Howard Pinckney of Dalzell. He is also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
