He is survived by: his wife Shelly Mays Hopkins; his mother Deborah Hinson Hopkins; his children, Austin Griswold (Savannah), Brittany Charles (James), Jonathan Griswold and Kinsley Hopkins; his siblings, James Hopkins and Melissa Hopkins; his father-in-law Lhoman Mays, Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Thomas Mays (Missie), Tripp Mays and Sandy Mays (Mark); and his pet Scooter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home (515 Miller Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
