He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas Jones, Sr. and Dorothy Herbert Jones; his brother William Thomas Jones, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Barbara Wheeler Walker. He is survived by: his wife Gail Wheeler Jones; his children, Robert Jones, Jr. (Karen C. Jones) of Sumter and Abby Jones Tisdale (Lynn) of Kingstree; his siblings, Larry E. Jones (Pat) and Lilyan Jones Coleman (Mike); his brother-in-law Richard Walker; his grandchildren, Walker Tisdale (Amanda), Dr. Katelyn Tisdale, Morgan Jones, Jacob Jones and Josie Tisdale; and his great grandchildren, Kal Tisdale and Maxie Lyn Tisdale.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bullock Funeral Home (1190 Wilson Hall Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel (1190 Wilson Hall Rd, Sumter, SC 29150).
