He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hodge Melton; his children, Robert "Rocky" Cooper Melton, IV (Ashley) of Sumter and Jessica Melton Smith of Dalzell; his grandchildren, Savanna Smith, Brantley Smith, Cooper Melton and Mary Paige Melton; and his sisters, Libby Way of Manning, Kathy Jackson (Bobby) of Lexington and Jennifer Whitesides (Jeffrey) of Lexington. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
