He is survived by: his children, Robert S. "Sparky" Thames, Jr. (Linda), Connie T. DeBerry, Daisy T. Batten (Buddy), Mellody T. Brown (Mike) and Jerry Mac Thames (Carol); his grandchildren, Robert S. "Robbie" Thames, III, James R. "Jamie" DeBerry, III, Natalie Dawn Smith, Michael Brown, Mallory Brown Petty, Robert B. "Bucky" DeBerry, William E. "Eddie" Batten, Nicole Thames, Shannon Rawson, Candace Wells, Summer Spigner, Ashlynn Spigner, Robert S. "Robbie" Thames, James R. "Jamie" DeBerry and William Edward "Eddie" Batten; and his great grandchild Robert H. "Hunter" Thames. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
