He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Joseph Walker, Sr. and Martha Mabel Simmons Walker; and his brother Leo J. "Joe" Walker, Jr. (Linda). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Fischer of Hartsville; his children, Richard Newman (Tonya) of Summerville, Ashlee Langley (Stacey) of Lexington, Leah Pack (Brock) of Sumter and Phyllis Jordan (Zach) of Florence; and his brother Billy Walker (Ginger) of Summerville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home (515 Miller Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Sumter Cemetery (700 W Oakland Ave, Sumter, SC 29151).
