She was predeceased by: her parents, Kathleen Nobles Moore and Percy Moore; her husband Ernest E. Gonzales Jr.; her siblings, Howard Moore, Mary Nunnery, Barbara Cannon, Geraldine Bayne, JD Moore, Margie Hart and William Moore; and her daughter Ellen Gonzales.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Schaubhut (Bill) of Rembert, Joe Gonzales of Sumter, Ernestine Hodge (Johnny) of Sumter and Melissa Elmore (Russ) of Rembert; and her siblings, Reba Kuechler of Charles and George Moore of Sumter. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great – great grandchildren, her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home (515 Miller Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
