We bid farewell to Samuel Lee Burchfield (Sumter, South Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 25, 2025 at the age of 61. Samuel Lee touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel H. Burchfield and Lucy E. M. Burchfield; and his sister Martha Riles. He is survived by: his sons, Jason Mcleod, Ryan Hodge of Sumter and Kalen Hodge of Linwood, WA; his siblings, Sue Craver, Shelby Gardener (Michael), Jerry Burchfield (Tia) of Sumter and Timmy Burchfield (Mickey) of Sumter; and also Cheryl Burchfield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephew.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight (221 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150).
