Though Sandra may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Cleo Carter, Jr.; her parents, Ernest Clifton Brown and Ora Mae Lane Brown; and her son Jay Clifton Carter. She is survived by: her sons, Ernest Cleo "Pat" Carter III of Sumter and Christopher Duane Carter of Summerville, SC; her grandson Christopher Ryan Carter of Surfside Beach, SC; her daughter-in-law Graziella "Leslie" Bruner of Sumter; and her siblings, Joyce B. Edenfield of Sumter, Linda B. Gulledge (Jimmy) of Simpsonville, SC and Ernest C. Brown, Jr. (Linda) of Waynesville, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (219 W Calhoun St, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
