It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ruth Boykin (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on October 1, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Oliver Lynch and Fozia Lowder Lynch. She is survived by: her husband Charles E. Boykin, Sr.; her children, Virginia Corbett (Stanley), Ray Gibson (Tricia), Barbara Vansteenburg (Mark), Bill Gibson (Lisa), Tony Gibson (Misty), Bobby Gibson (Beth) and Charles "Charlie" E. Boykin, Jr. (Tina); and her sisters, Betty Brewer (Thomas), Mickie Sims (Rut) and Pat Brendlen. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.
