Shirley leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Shirley’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Shirley will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Whitworth and Lizzie Mae Lacount Whitworth; and her brother Marvin Whitworth. She is survived by: her close friend Randall Welch; her sons, Bobby Grimsley (Jenifer) and David Grimsley; and her sister Shelby Jordan (Truman). She is also survived by three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zoar Church Cemetery (1315 Zoar Church Rd, Sumter, SC 29153). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
