Thorpe of Sumter, South Carolina, born in Jamestown, New York, who passed away on August 19, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Lane and Grace Sumner Lane; her husband Leighton R. "Lates" Thorpe; and her brother Quentin T. Lane (Susan Lane). She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Ecker (James) of Sugar Grove, PA and Nancy Pratt (David) of Sugar Grove, PA; her grandson Jeffrey Canaan (Boukje) of The Netherlands; her great grandchildren, Loren, Layton and Celeste Canaan; and her brother Richard Lane (Janice) of Sumter, SC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
