He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Brunson and Robert Brunson Sr.; and his brother Robert Brunson Jr.. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Isaiah Maurice, Lee, Gabriel Maurice Brunson Jr., Stanton Calev Harrold, Hailey LeeAnn, Anderson, Canaan Elias Kungwa Nsubuga and Israel Hughes Kigundu Nsubuga; his siblings, Christine Miller (David), Samuel (Carol), Regethal Richbow, Mattie Pollard (David), Dr. Shirrie Miller (Michael), Frankie Brunson and Lynn Miller (Terry Snow) of Sumter; and his aunt Magnolia White of Newhaven.
A memorial service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Berea Seventh Day Adventist Church (675 S Lafayette Dr, Sumter, SC 29150).
