He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lowery, Sr. and Nettie Jackson Lowery; his former wife Pearlie Lowery; his daughter Tracie Lavern Lowery; his siblings, Beulah Hastie, Lillie Harris, Carrie Gantt, Eddie Charles, Willie Lowery, Samuel Lowery and Charlie Lowery Jr.; and his nephew Larry Holman.
He is survived by: his children, Schunda Lowery-Whatley, Shelia Lowery-Dwyer (Craig) of Sumter and Travis Lisbon of Charlotte, NC; his stepsons, LaQue Franklin (Alaina) of Sanford, NC and Marty Jackson (Margaret) of Sumter; his sisters, Rosa Lowery-Jones and Mary Lowery-Harvin; his nieces and nephews, Cassandra Lowery-Thompson, Derrick, Kinte, Jeffrey, Yvette, Sheryl, Sonia, Antionette, Naima, Eddie, Barbara, Roger, Michelle, Berthina and Linda; his grandchildren, Kimberly James, Eleasia Jones, Derek Brayboy, Dominque Wiggins and Tony Hudson; his brother-in-law Calvin Hastie; and his friends, Eugene Williams, Mark Pearson, Darren McCormick, Carl Ford, Joe McElveen and Bubba. He is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face mask and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitations at the home from 4:00 – 6:00 p. m., 829 Legare Street, Sumter.
