He was predeceased by: his siblings, Shelia, William and Bernard; and his siblings-in-law, Minnie (BayBay), Sarah, Anna Jane, Shirley, Mary, Shack, Esau, Jacob and Henry.

He is survived by: his wife's children, Lisa, Gail and Joseph; his granddaughter Michelle; his siblings' children, Claudia and Joel (Poppy); his children, Lisa, Gail (Lorenzo) of Miami, FL and Joseph (Marlo) of Sumter, SC; his siblings, Henrietta of Miami, FL, Mary of Miami, FL, Linwood (Jettie) of Palm Bay, FL and Grayland (Brenda) of Harlem, GA; his friend Jack Thompson; his wife Juanita Burgess Joyner (Nita); Thomasina. He is also survived by brothers;and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other loving relatives and dear friends.
