It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Patterson (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Rembert, South Carolina, who passed away on August 29, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rosa Lee Patterson and Arthur Herrington; his former spouse Georgiann Vereen; his wife Elsie Ford; his children, Floyd (Donna) of Gaffney, Adrian (Glynese) of Bronx, Thomas of East Orange, N. J., Dwayne of Brooklyn, Gretta Knight (Bruce) and Rachel Rooks; his siblings, Katherine Thomas of Camden, Patricia of Brooklyn, Mary of Queens, Donald (Sylvia) of Rochester, David (Ellen) of Rembert and James (Shirley) of Queens; and his siblings-in-law, Willie Ford (Elizabeth) of New York City, Juanita Green and Lucille Ronsby. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitations from 1:00 – 4:00 p. m. at the home.
