It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Preston Thompson Sr. (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter James Thompson and Irene Allen Thompson; his daughter Debbie Thompson; and his siblings, Ruth Richburg, Betty Prescott, Jimmy Thompson, Billy Thompson and Frank Thompson.
He is survived by: his nephew Rex Prescott; his wife Sandy; his children, Cindy Thompson Klein (Rob) and Thomas Thompson Jr. (Candace); his grandchildren, Hunter Thompson Rollins, Thomas Thompson III and Trey (Erin); and his siblings, May Lineberger, Kay Sprowls (Rick), John Thompson (Suzie) and Charlie Thompson (Gloria).
