We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2022, at the age of 82, Vermelle Sims Simmons (Sumter, South Carolina) passed away. She was predeceased by: her father William Sims, Sr.; and her husband Frank Simmons, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Delina Hart of Sumter, Frank Simmons, Jr. of Sumter, Melissa Stinnett (John) of Sumter, Craig Brown of Sumter and Bryant Simmons (Gloria) of Sumter; her siblings, Pauline Ryce, Louise Scott (Calvin), Carol Williams (Eugene), William Sims and James Sims (Gail); and her niece Theresa Sims. She is also survived by twenty one grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren.
In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation from 3:00 – 6:00 p. m., at the home, 101 Morgan Avenue, Sumter.
