She was predeceased by: her husband Leo Lawrence Dobbs; her father Edward Columbus Whinery; and her siblings, Marvin Lee Whinery, Edward Junior Whinery, Donald Eugene Whinery, Betty Whinery, Gwytha Mae Ferris, Bonnie Belle Gosser and Luella Murrell Fulmer.
She is survived by: her mother Lucy Etta Campbell Whinery; and her children, Darrell L. Dobbs (Marion) of Sumter, Connie A. Mitchell (Mark) of Guyton, GA and Brenda S. Sprankle (Herb) of Sumter. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
