Walter Carr III Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter Carr III (Sumter, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Walter may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter James Carr Jr. and Evelyn Burress Carr. He is survived by: his daughter Carrie McMahon; his grandson Myers McMahon of Columbia; his sister Carol Tinkey (Mike) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and his nephews, Will Baker and Rutledge Baker.
