He is survived by: his wife Claudia Benenhaley Gainey; his children, Dion Fain (Bonnie) of New Bern, NC, Cody Gainey of Sumter, Michelle Graham (Jason) of Sumter, Amanda Gainey of Sumter, Danielle Held (Jason) of Sumter, Dionne Gainey (Archie) of Houston, Brittany Gainey of Sumter and Brooke Reeley (Timothy) of Sumter; and his sister Susan Languis of Sumter.
