It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Charles Temple Wessell of Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry and Elva Wessell (Jackson); his former wife Nancy; his son Mark; his siblings, Bobby, Joe Wessell, Patsy Baxter, Helen Dill and Nancy Noblitt; and his great grandchild Braden Toohey.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Andrews Wessell; his children, Marcia Wessell (Freddy Clarke), William Wessell Jr. (Melanie Johnson), Bonnie (Jeff Yerkes), Marjorie (Steven Zarenkiewicz), Ellis (Lisa Blake), Terri (Joe Schrock), Barbara (Helmut Otto), Marie Blake, Jim Morris, David (Sherry Blake), Larry Andrews, Pat Andrews, Kathy (Greg Farley) and Joe (Terri Andrews); and his sister Delores Dempsy. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
