He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Doc" Ray and Lucille Benenhaley Ray; and his siblings, Ruby Ray Carter and Henry Alston Ray. He is survived by: his spouse Kyong Soon "Ann" Ray; his children, James Ray (Carla Pope), Henry "Ronnie" Ray (Lisa Pendergraph), Sheryl Robinson (Ernest) and Timothy "Timmy" Ray (Tammy); his grandchildren, Braydon Ray-Pope, Amaris Ray-Pope, Ryan Ray, Megan Ray Staves (Brooks), Kennedy Robinson, Jett Robinson, Taylor Schilling (Nick) and Tabitha Ray; his great grandchildren, Rocko Ray, Oliver Schilling and Collins Staves; and his sister Faye D'Angelo (Tony). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
