He was predeceased by: his parent Claude Allen Chappell; and his grandmothers, Lola P. Chappell and Inez R. Smith. He is survived by: his mother Frances Chappell-Smith; his siblings, Henry Chappell (Lori) and Tina Chappell Alexander; and his nieces and nephews, Andrew Alexander, Toni Alexander Holliday, Teddi Alexander, Anni Alexander, Stephanie Chappell O'Shields and Carson Chappell.
