With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bennett James Thompson (Surfside Beach, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2025 at the age of 2. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Bennett James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Bennett James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his parents, Kristopher Thompson and Meagan Thompson; and his grandparents, Bryan, Amy Killian, Juli Thompson and Kirk Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the First Baptist Church (711 16th Ave N, Surfside Beach, SC 29575-4337). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Surfside Beach (711 16th Ave N, Surfside Beach, SC 29575).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bennett's name to the PICU department at Grand Strand Medical Center, so that his light may continue to shine in the lives of others.
