He was predeceased by: his parents, Callie Fairfax and Hayes Fairfax; and his siblings, Bobby Fairfax and Aileen Williams. He is survived by: his wife Lorene Beard Fairfax; his children, David Fairfax (Marie) and Judy Brown (Terry); his sisters, Joyce Dunbar and Wilma Coleman; his grandchildren, Devin, Chris, Brandon Fairfax, Becky, Matt, Zachary Brown and Maddy Gainer; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Madison, Braylynn, Bailey, Jaden, Ryan Fairfax, Cali Harte, Banks, Beau Brown and Walker Gainer.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McNeill Legacy Funeral Home (319 W Broad St, St Pauls, NC 28384). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at the Great Marsh Baptist Church (270 E Great Marsh Church Rd, St Pauls, NC 28384).
