It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert W. Davis Jr. of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, who passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Joyce Roche; his siblings-in-law, Frank, Frances Smith and Joseph Zarek; and his parents, Gilbert Davis Sr. and Alice Davis (Davis).
He is survived by: his wife Helen Davis (Layden); his children, Linda Powell (James) and Robert Davis (Rita); his stepchildren, Kathleen Corrado (Brian) and Thomas Corrado (Teresa); his sister-in-law Jean Zarek; and his grandchildren, April Braun, DJ Wolverton, Holly Sacramone, Laura, Elena Haarer, Liam, Kyra and McKenna Corrado. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the charity of one's choice.
