It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy McCormick of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, born in Woodbury, New Jersey, who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Nancy had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Nancy may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Layman and Patricia Layman; her son Ryan McCormick; and her sister Barbara Bradway. She is survived by: her siblings, David, Orville Layman and Amy; her husband David Gary McCormick of Surfside; her daughter Jessica Lynne Blahosky (Chris) of Allentown, PA; and her grandson Oliver of Allentown, PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children.
In lieu of flowers, her request was for any donations in her name to be sent to Shepherd of the Sea (Lutheran Church), 2637 Hwy 17 Business South, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 with the Ryan McCormick Music Endowment Fund noted in the memo of the check.
