He was predeceased by: his parents, Ena Trussell Ballentine and Bernard Carroll Ballentine of Columbia, SC.; and his brother Doug Ballentine of Lilburn, GA.. He is survived by: his wife Mitsy Winburn Ballentine; his son Nathan Ballentine of Chapin, SC; his grandchildren, JC and Emma of Chapin, SC; and his siblings-in-law, Gail Ballentine of Auburn, GA, John Winburn (Susan) of Greer, SC and Rev. Bob Clarke (Kathy) of Alpharetta, GA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
