She was predeceased by: her spouse Marion Henry "Bud" Howard; her parents, Lewis Dangerfield and Doris Coker Dangerfield; her son Joel Ray Howard; and her son-in-law Jack Sanders.

She is survived by: her children, Todd Howard (Ashley) of Travelers Rest and Patty Sanders of Spartanburg; her brother Larry Dangerfield (Lucy) of Summerville; her grandchildren, Jenna Howard, Cole Howard, Luke Howard, Mandy Derrick and Brandy Bates; and her great grandchildren, Brianna Tucker, Jasia Bates and Bella Derrick.
