It is with sadness that the passing of Etta Mae Tate of Taylors, South Carolina is shared. Etta, born on July 26, 1931 in Greer, South Carolina, passed away on September 17, 2026. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Kenneth Tate; her parents, Elbert Aaron and Nellie Mae Wilbanks Forrester; and her siblings, Randall Forrester, Theresa Stokes, Doris Brown and Antho Phillips.

She is survived by: her children, Ray Tate of Taylors, Lynn White of Taylors, Debbie Tate of Taylors and Angie Tate of Taylors; and her grandchildren, Kristi Harris (John), Gloria Brendle, Del Tate (Tracy), Aaron White (Anna), Beverly Barton (Tim), Ben White (Ginger) and Audry White. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Wood Mortuary, Inc. (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wood Mortuary Chapel (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650).
