We announce the death of James A. Crockett (Taylors, South Carolina), who passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 81. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his brother Gary Crockett; and his nephews, Michael Crockett and Travis Musselman. He is survived by: his wife Marie Crockett (Larosk); his daughter Kymberly Turpin (Chris); his grandsons, James, William and Robert Turpin; and his sister Patricia Easton of California. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church (1209 Brushy Creek Rd, Taylors, SC 29687). A rosary was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Graceland East Memorial Park (2206 Woodruff Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Jimmy's honor to support youth skating programs, ensuring that his passion for the sport continues to inspire future generations.
