He was predeceased by: his mother Carol Burrell; and his sister Karen Hiott. He is survived by: his sons, Devin Burrell and Kirt Burrell; his father Louis Burrell; his sisters, Cindy Burrell and Sherry Cobb; his granddaughter Ansley Burrell; his nephew Josh Cannon; and his nieces, Ashley Cheatham and Lauren Woodham.
