He was predeceased by: his father Buford Bowers. He is survived by: his wife Tracy Bowers; his mother Myra Howard; his stepfather David Howard; his children, Zoe Bowers (Jeff) and Brandon Picklesimer; his grandsons, Emery and Samuel; and his siblings, Roger Edens (Lynn), Henry Howard and Charmin Howard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
