He was predeceased by: his parents, Tome Richard "T. R." and Leila Bradley Thompson; and his siblings, Thomas "Earl" Thompson, Broadus Thompson, Beaufort Thompson, Howard Seay, William "Bill" Seay, Clara Bradley, Beulah Bradley and Irene Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Satterfield Thompson; his children, Teresa Lamb (Eric) of Greer and Derrick Thompson (Allison) of Greer; his grandchildren, Kristen Wyatt (Robert), Justin Lamb, Jared Lamb (Anna), Elsie Thompson and Sadie Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Hudson Wyatt, Mavery Wyatt and Isabel Lamb.
