She was predeceased by : her husband Ralph L. Payne; her parents, James Brown and Josie Anna Beasley Brown; her son Mark Payne; and her son-in-law Robert Brunson.

She is survived by : her children, Sam Payne (Debbie), Dan Payne (Kelly) and Katherine Brunson; and her daughter-in-law Victoria Payne. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grand children.
