He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kirby and Ada Rauch Kirby; and his brothers, Fred Kirby and Harry Kirby. He is survived by: his wife Iris Lee Kirby; his children, Timmy Kirby, James R. Kirby (Amy) and Tanya Kirby (Liz); his stepdaughter Cassandra Stephens (Shay); his grandson Caleb Kirby; his stepgrandchildren, Brittany Lynch, Tyler Russ (Madison), Greyson Goins and Remi Stephens; his siblings, Jane White (Charles), Ann Dorr and Paul Kirby (Criss); and his sister-in-law Majorie Kirby. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Unity Christian Fellowship Church (3652 Olanta Hwy, Timmonsville, SC 29161). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
