He was predeceased by: his father Charles L. Kennedy, Sr.; his son David A. Kennedy; and his brother Robert Lloyd Kennedy. He is survived by: his mother Myrtle Knotts Jefferson; his close friend Deborah Seegars; his siblings, Tammy Weatherford (Donnie), Clay Kennedy and Kris Kennedy (Ginger); his aunt Linda Nettles; his daughter-in-law Sarah Kennedy; his grandchildren, David Kennedy, Jr., Emmah Kennedy and Daxton Kennedy; his nephew Aaron; and his nieces, K. C., Krista and Sabrina.
