He was predeceased by : his wife Sandra Elder Burns; his parents, David Burns and Jesse Pace Burns; and his siblings, Charles Burns, Paul Burns, Robert Burns, Larry Burns, Kathleen Griffith and Betty Jo Rice.
He is survived by : his children, Jean B. Hines (H. B.), Janet Bochino and David Burns; his sisters, Nan Williams and Grace McManus; and his grandchildren, Shannon Tomlinson (Anthony), Jason Hines (Tonya), Paul Peebles (Seran), Ashley Peebles (Sally), Justin Burns (Ruth) and Kristin Alexander (Dale). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
