He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Widener; his sisters, Ginny Bolt (Cletus) and Janie Widener; and his grandson Buster McCoy. He is survived by: his children, Esther Dillard (Bobby), Kristi McCoy (Scott), Blair Widener (Lynn) and Robert L. Widener (Darcy); his grandchildren, Lauren, Alexander, Ashton McCoy, Robert and Zach Widener; his great grandchildren, Loudie and Mary Van Bridges; and his brothers, Elmore and Joe Widener.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the J. M. Ford Funeral Directors (637 W Martintown Rd, North Augusta, SC 29841). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at the Pineview Memorial Gardens (450 W Five Notch Rd, North Augusta, SC 29841).
