He was predeceased by: his mother Clara Mae Rice; and his siblings, McArthur Rice, Lonnie Rice, Douglas Rice Jr., James Edward Rice and Susan Elizabeth Rice.
He is survived by: his children, Kenterrius Thompson and Lisa Thompson (Gary Means Jr.); and his siblings, Robert Rice, Catherine Jones, Barbara Rice, Alice Rice and Jannie Mickles. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lewis Funeral Home (1247 Duncan Bypass, Union, SC 29379). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at the St. Paul Society Cemetery.
