He was predeceased by: his parents, Geter Dewey Stepp and Mittie Moseley Stepp; and his siblings, Lewis Stepp (Vi), Lucille Cromer, Troy Stepp (Eva Delle), Ophelia Sumner, Sue Fowler (Don), Geraldine Burnett (Clifford), Joe Stepp (Roberta) and Grace Lane (James).
He is survived by: his children, Chris Stepp (Jill Scarborough) and Amy Smith (Rick); his grandchildren, Roan Stepp (Kelcey Davis), Brett Smith (Shayla) and Brooke Smith Farmer (Preston); and his siblings-in-law, Della Gilchrist and Mike Cameron. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Lewis Funeral Home (1247 Duncan Bypass, Union, SC 29379).
