He was predeceased by: his parents, James Boyce "Buck" Davis and Genevieve Hodges Davis; his brothers, Jimmie Davis, Randy Davis and Roy Davis; and his siblings-in-law, Barnie Jarrell, Donald Mattie and Mary Davis.

He is survived by: his son Matthew Glynn Davis (Brenda Kay Davis) of Varnville; his grandson Tyler Warren Davis; his daughter Kristen Davis Ready (Kenneth Dale Ready) of Aiken; his grandchild Kyle Davis Ready (Kyah Ashton Ready); and his siblings, Peggy Jarrell of Hampton, Johnny Davis (Sissy) of Hampton, Lynn Mattie of Hampton, Harry Davis of Hardeeville and Rita Davis of Hampton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
