With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edison Owens Jr. of Varnville, South Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edison Owens, Sr. and Barbara Ann Jarrell Owens; and his grandparents, William, Minnie Lee Varnadoe, Tom, Dora Owens and Phillip Ray Stanley.
He is survived by: his close friend Nancy Hair; his children, Carson of Arizona, Leah Tuten, David Carson (Mandy) and Mindy Carson-Miller (Johnny); and his sisters, Robin Stanley (Deryl) and Emma Jarrell (Lanier).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM at the Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Hampton Chapel (300 Mulberry St W, Hampton, SC 29924). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home (300 Mulberry St W, Hampton, SC 29924).
