She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Sims Bloodworth and Christine Smith Bloodworth; and her siblings, Willis Holland (late Vena Mae), Bobby Holland (Dot), Jimmy Bloodworth, Curtis Bloodworth, Charles Bloodworth (Jackie), Elizabeth Burk and Barbara Ann Bloodworth.

She is survived by: her husband Russell Bates of Allendale County; her daughter Rebecca "Becky" Bates Shaffer (Nathaniel "Nat" A. Shaffer); her grandchildren, Parker Bates Shaffer (Mattison Hunt) of Varnville, Charles Banks Shaffer of Varnville and Elizabeth Nell Shaffer of Varnville; her sisters, Willie Mae Stevenson (Robert) of Gainesville, GA, Christine Williams (late Roy Williams) of Allendale, SC and Janice Crosby (late Willie James Crosby) of East Dublin, GA.; her siblings' children, Wilson Holland, Samuel Hoyt Bates Jr. (Chip), Bobby Holland Jr., David Bloodworth, Danny Bloodworth, Mitchell Crosby, Robin Mack (Chris), Lesley Williams Stanley (Scoti), Katie Grijalva (Fransisco), Anna Carithers (Ryan), Janet Linn, Janet Sumner (Gary), Teresa Jones (Craig), Cathy Varn (late Tony), Penny Cochran, Tator and Tracy Grubbs; her great-niece Gracie; and her great-nephews, Brandon Bates, John Mack, Davis Mack, Bryce Carithers and Conner Carithers.
