He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Alexander Murdaugh; his children, Lynn Murdaugh Goettee (Allen) of Summerville, Randolph "Randy" Murdaugh, IV (Christy) of Hampton, Richard Alexander "Alex" Murdaugh of Islandton and John Marvin Murdaugh (Liz) of Okatie; his grandchildren, Mills Goettee, Trey Goettee, Buster Murdaugh, Reeves Goettee, Mary Elizabeth Murdaugh, Caroline Murdaugh, Mary Marvin Murdaugh, Liza Grace Murdaugh and Randolph Murdaugh; his sister Brenda Young (Tommy); his siblings-in-law, Janet Cotter and Don Alexander (Lisa); Barbara Mixson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
