It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Devon Swedenburg of Wagener, South Carolina, who passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Luther Robinson and Mattie Lee Gibbs Robinson; her husband James Swedenburg; her daughter Sherry Swedenburg; her grandson Keyshawn Johnson; and her sisters, Loree Washington, Janelle Rose and Eartha Dell Pontoo.
She is survived by: her children, James K. Swedenburg (Cathy), Cynthia Prescott of Wagener, SC, Debra Swedenburg of Wagener, SC and Jacqueline Swedenburg of Wagener, SC; her brother John Robinson (Christine) of Albany, NY; and her siblings-in-law, Minnie Bell Golson of Wagener, SC, Tecora Kent of Philadelphia, PA, Albert Edwards of Wagener, SC and William Washington of Columbia, SC. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
