She was predeceased by: her husband Edwin Garvin; and her parents, Jessie Wiggins Blocker and Thomas Ackerman Blocker. She is survived by: her daughter Mary Rebecca Garvin; her grandchildren, Mary Michelle "Shelly" Garvin and Madison Arrowood; her sister-in-law Charlene Blocker; her niece Kathy Pitadeniya; her nephew Jeff Lomas; and her close friends, Janet and Paul DeSantis.
Janice was a faithful member of Hulon Baptist Church the pandemic in 2020 when she became homebound.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Janice's honor to the Disabled American Veteran Auxiliary Unit 43 – Aiken, South Carolina (P.O. Box 369 Wagener SC 29164).
